Picking the Perfect Wedding Venue

So it finally happened. He proposed, and you said yes! woo! now you're engaged and that means wedding planning mode! Now, whats the first thing that you want to do? Book a venue of course, but with so many beautiful spots to choose from, how do you decide? Well here are some tips to help narrow your venue search!

1. Communication!
Communication is SO important. Have a chat with your other half about what kind of wedding you want to have, and be prepared to compromise; this could help avoid disagreements later! Do you want a big wedding? or a small one? do you want it in the morning? or at night? these are the foundation questions to start building your wedding on!

2. Church Wedding, or a Civil Wedding?
Deciding what type of ceremony you would like will tighten the area in which you should look for a wedding venue. Remember, your wedding reception should ideally be within a 20 – 25 minute radius of the Ceremony location.

3. Make a Budget
Working out a budget early on will help you to shortlist potential wedding venues. wedding catering and alcohol normally take up quite a large chunk of your budget so remember to include it in your calculations. as well as your Wedding Video, and Photography.

4. What about the Guests?
Don’t forget about friends and family travelling to your wedding.  If you want to avoid expensive taxi charges and hotel bills, look for a wedding venue near to where the majority of your guests live. Or make them drive.... that's always an option! its ok to be a little selfish.

5. Wedding guest numbers
Have a rough idea of the number of people coming to your wedding before you start looking for a wedding venue.  This should avoid the disappointment of visiting a beautiful wedding venue only to find out it is too big/small for your wedding.

6. Your wedding date
If you've decided on a date for your wedding and it’s set in stone, check the availability of that date before you visit.  If you’re flexible about the day of the week, month, season, or even the year of your wedding you’ll have a much wider choice of venues.

7. Seek expert advice
Wedding Blogs and websites such as this one are useful because they have details of a wide range useful information. If you’d like some assistance searching for a venue, a wedding venue finding service can help; tell them your requirements and they will search for a venue to suit you. Wedding Planners can also help you choose a wedding venue as they have experience of weddings at different venues.

If you Follow these simple tips, it will help narrow your choices, and take away the stress and pain of having to go to hundreds of different venues, trying to find one that fits!

Cheers,

Zach

Why Your Wedding Film is the MOST IMPORTANT Part of Your Wedding Day

We know that it takes a lot of time and dedication to plan a wedding, and when your day arrives - you want it to be absolutely PERFECT. Its one of those things in life that you do because of love. Its the GIANT first step that you take, into the rest of your life with your Husband/Wife

But when the day finally arrives - trust us, it comes and goes in the blink of an eye.

Weddings are magical. The morning or preparation, the anticipation of that car ride to the ceremony, seeing Mom and Dad tear up as they give away their daughter.

The First kiss as Husband and Wife.

One minute you're getting your makeup done, and the next thing you know, you're standing up at the front of the ceremony, saying your vows. Then you blink and all of a sudden, you're having your first dance and cutting the cake.

Weddings are one of the greatest feelings ever, and it's thew beauty of it, is that it comes and goes in an instance. These moments are precious, you can't put a price on them.

Your flowers might last for a little while. Your leftover wedding cake might last a little longer. Your DJ and Wedding Venue are gone by the end of the night.

Not everything can be captured by photos, Only a film can capture your preparation, vows, speeches, and the magic of that once in a lifetime day.

Most parts of your wedding will come and go. You only get to enjoy them ONCE, for a couple of hours. Remember that your wedding film is going to last you FOREVER - don't let it be one of those things that gets forgotten, or set on the back burner until later if you have time. A film is the stunning reminder of that special day, and all your hard work. With a film, You will be able to enjoy the fruits of your labour for the rest of your life.

So maybe cut back on the flowers, think about whether or not you REALLY want to invite Aunt Edna and her fifteen cats... Because when you think about cost versus value -
Your Wedding Film is the MOST IMPORTANT part of your wedding day!

Happy Planning!
